Sorry another question but you guys are really knowledgable about all this!
I posted my results on here previously and you guys said you feel I have Hashimotos but am in a hyper flare. I went to my GP and asked him to run the other antibodies as suggested here but he refused and said I have to wait for my referral to the Endocrinologist as I’m showing as hyper. I got the letter this morning and I’m seeing him on 21st Dec so my question is what can I do in the meantime? Is there anything natural I can do to quell the symptoms a little? I have been very symptomatic for what I would say is both hypo and hyper - I’m freezing but having hand and body tremors, I’m exhausted but having constant adrenaline rushes, I’m getting shooting pains down my arms and in my legs, my resting heart rate has gone up 10bpm, my guts are very very off.
I am having what I would have said is a POTS flare - woke up bolt upright in bed last night with funny beats and tachycardia which I used to get all the time when I was first diagnosed with POTS but haven’t had in about 18 months - I’m starting to think maybe some of my POTS symptoms in the past could have been me in a hyper flare? Is there anything I can do to get through this until 21st? I am only medicated for POTS (Ivabradine 2.5mg) and I’ve been gluten free for over a year now. I’ll put what results I have below in case anyone wants to see them.
T4 - 26 (12-22)
T3 - 7.5 (3.1-6.8)
TSH - 0.03 (0.3-4.2)
TPO - less than 9 (0-34)
Thanks x
That looks like a Hashi's 'flare', yes. AKA a Hashi's 'hyper' swing. So, of course you're showing hyper. duh! She obviously didn't 'do' Hashi's in med school.
