NDT and Gastric Upset?

Has anyone experienced adverse reaction to NDT re bloating, nausea, indigestion ?

Fairly consistently I am w the the indigestion disrupting my sleep. Now after eliminating some dietary items plus tracking when all is at its worse - with no clear direction or relief - am worried that perhaps the NDT is the cause :(

For the past 7 weeks have been on Nature Throid (added to my prior T3 only regime) w instant ‘much better’ - I still feel this way BUT this darn stomach stuff! Seems that it could have began about a few weeks in to the added NDT but I’m not 100% sure.

Curious if others have had similar experiences. I’m so hoping it isn’t the Nature Throid.

Sadly I had nausea and bloating with NDT , tried twice and failed because of that. I hoped it would have worked for me as supplies seem easier to import them☹️ I had been taking T4 and T3

How long were your attempts? Days, weeks, months? and was the bloating etc consistent or would come / go?

First time only 7 days , couldn’t stand the nausea any longer. Second time I only lasted 3 days. The symptoms of nausea and bloat were full time ☹️ Really wanted it to work, maybe I gave up too soon😑

I don't take NDT, but I have taken medications in the past that caused nausea. What worked for me in one case was having the doctor reduce the dosage. On the other hand, there may be some substance in this product that disagrees with your body. So you might need a different brand or a different medication altogether.

Hi. I can’t take NDT for reasons other than those you are experiencing. However I have had digestive issues for many years without explanation. I went gluten, lactose and soy free, and continue to be so, but this still didn’t help. What works for me is taking a probiotic. I started taking them in August this year and within a few weeks my digestive issues subsided and I feel so much better.

This may not help you, but it may be worth trying.

Good luck 😊

Hi, I was wondering what probiotic you are taking? I have tried a few that have made things worse for me and would love a recommendation. Although I'm sure different ones work for different people😊

Different NDTs have different fillers that can cause gastric upset. One that is just back in production contains chicory. Another popular brand has many fillers in it. Read the ingredients. If you have allergies then that could be a factor too.

No known allergies to current Nature Throid fillers; however am planning to switch brands, compare and track moving forward 👍🏾 thank you.
