Thank you to everyone who answered my first post and appologies to admin I have replied to but have just found out I am supposed to make new post - so here goes -

Ok - blood test reslts for joint and bone pain last friday when I was having difficulty walking -

TSH = 0.01 (range 0.3 - 4.2) - below range !

serum free triiodothyroxine = 6.5 (range 3.1 - 6.8)

T4 = 21.2 (range 12.0 - 22.0)

All other tests for inflamatory and liver were within range, but no tests for vit D, folate, ferritin, B12, TPO or TG antibodies

I am due another blood test on Monday which I am assured will cover Vit D Folate etc., so will post when I get results. Still struggling with the joints/bones and was advised to reduce the Levothyroxine to 100mg and see how that goes.

So, you have never had your antibodies tested? I'm willing to bet they're high. That's the most likely explanation for your levels suddenly jumping up like that on the same dose. It does not mean you need to reduce your levo. It would probably be better just to stop taking it for a couple of days, then start again at a slightly lower dose. But, do not let your doctor change your prescription. Because the odds are that you are going to need that 125 mcg again - and possibly more.

Doctor have very little knowledge of thyroid and how it works, and no knowledge at all of antibodies, which is why they rarely test for them. But, we know better.

And, I'm also willing to bet that your vit d is low, and that's what's causing the joint and bone pain. But, as usual, they just don't do the most important tests - they are equally ignorant about nutrients! :)
