Hi ive had the overactive thyroid condition for around 20 yrs. On small carbimazole dose. Now im perimenopausal.Im trying to get through on supplements such as primrose, starflower, calcium & magnesium without going on HRT due to the concerns. However the periods were somewhat manageable though regular but now they are prolonged and heavy so Im thinking right what do I do now as I feel I need help. But how does HRT effect overactive and isnt there any other solution? I do have ME also and on betablockers and antidepressants for the panics and anxieties that I believe are caused by the menopause. I dont really want any other drug but I know that I may need further assistance. I dont come across overactive sufferers and if any are and going through the early stages of menopause then that would be useful. Any thoughts anyone?
