Hi again everyone. I had repeat bloods checked...1 month and 1 day since the last ones;

Medichecks-24/09/18

TSH 4.97 (0.27-4.20)

FT4 15.100 (12.00-22.00)

FT3 4.86 (3.10-6.80)

TGAB 51.600 (0.00-115.00)

TPO 150 (0.00-34.00)

Active B12 148.000 (25.10-165.00)

Folate (serum) 15.71 (2.91-50.00)

CRP (high sensitivity) 0.85 (0.00-5.00)

Ferritin 81.5 (13.00-150.00)

They also did my Vitamin D this time-

25 OH Vitamin D 88.2 (50.00-200.00)

Think I'm right in thinking they still indicate Hashimoto's and subclinical hypothyroidism?

What would cause my Active B12 to increase like it has in a month? Was 96.500. Can't think I've done anything different.

And also my Ferritin? Was 48.5. I've not taken a sudden liking to liver ☺.

Thank you in advance.

Confusing results, though it could be you had a Hashimoto's flare, temporarily improving nutrient uptake

I would suggest you try strictly gluten free diet for 3-6 months and see if it improves symptoms or lowers antibodies

Ideally ask GP for coeliac blood test first

Look at supplementing vitamin D, especially over the winter, to improve vitamin D levels to around 100nmol

Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is good as avoids poor gut function. Suggest you supplement 1000iu for 2-3 months and retest. It's trial and error what dose each person needs.

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

Retesting twice yearly via vitamindtest.org.uk

Possibly try a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate, not folic acid. Or alternatively up your diet of green vegetables

Retest thyroid and vitamins in 3 months and see what's changed
