Using magnesium in a lotion and taking T3 at bedtime?

Hello

I need to take vitamin D as my level always drops. I read on here that the sprays are probably best to take. I bought the one from Better You. (Don’t know if it’s working yet).

I also got their magnesium lotion and the one in an oil that you put on legs/arms half hour before bed.

But I am taking my 1/4 tablet of T3 at bedtime (just started this week). This seems to be better for me than an hour before my main evening meal. (Logistically)

I haven’t used the magnesium with the late taking of T3 as I though you shouldn’t take magnesium within 4? Hours of thyroid meds.

Please could someone explain how I take magnesium if it can’t be near my T3. Or maybe I just won’t take it?

Thank you for any advice 🙂

If you're rubbing magnesium on your skin, you don't have to leave four hours between magnesium and T3. The problem arises when they meet up in the stomach or intestines. If your magnesium is transdermal, it doesn't go near the stomach. :)

Thank you greygoose. I had a feeling that was the case but didn’t like to assume which was why I didn’t do it just in case.

So much to learn, even more to remember. 🙂

You'll get used to it. :) Before you know it, it'll be second nature to you!

I wish it was second nature to our GPs. Would save months if not years of worrying and suffering when it’s not right.

It’s just that I get asked “how do you know you’re right?” Or “did the GP tell you?”

More sense on this forum. Glad I found you. 🙃
