Help Need With Thyroid Results and Medication Please

Hello Everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted. I had a total thyroidectomy on February 24th, 2018.

I thought I would be perfect after that but, not the case. I still have Hashimoto's and high inflammation...was hoping it would all go away. Still feeling ill with tiredness, high blood pressure, gained weight out of control, hair falling out again but, my Dr says that my levels are great! And that the low dosage of medication is perfectly fine.

My question is; Does 75 mcg of Synthroid with 5 mcg of Cytomel (which I had to beg for) is a good dosage for someone without a thyroid?

Here are my latest results:

TSH 3rd Generation 0.859 (0.358- 3.740)

T4 Free 1.05 (0.76- 1.46)

T3 Total 0.99 (0.70-1.79)

T Uptake 32.1% (30%- 39%)

Vitamin D25 OH 44.70 (30-100)

She did other test but then refused to discuss them stating that I should discuss these with my primary care, even though she was the one ordering the test.

Do these results look ok? Is my dosage appropriate? Why is my hair fall out again?

I will be looking for another Dr. But in the meanwhile if anyone can help me, I greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!

Thank you for your comment. I also feel that it's too low but she refused to increase it. I don't see ferritin in the results unfortunately

The fact she won't discuss is a bit of a giveaway that she hasn't a clue! When on any form of T3 then TSH should be suppressed, mines 0.01! FT4 can fall in its range bit FT3 should be high but never over. You don't have an FT3 result but although not familiar with total T3 I'm thinking it's not high enough. So I think you dose needs increasing. Hair loss can be down to other things not being in place. Have you any recent results for Vit D, B12, folate and ferritin? If so can you post them. They need to be optimal, just not in range but they help with other things, better Thyroid levels, conversion issues and other problems can be overcome as well. Thing B12 helps hair loss but not too sure-just woken up!

Your FT3 is much too low to feel well also your Vit should be 100 plus so too low. You can self treat VitaminD take with K2 for better results.

You are by law able to obtain any results just ask for a full print out at your surgery.

If you can take a blood test from Blue Horizon ( thyroid 11 ) is a good one. Take the test first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Leave of your Levo for 24 hours prior to the test. Then post the results with the ranges on here for answers. I had my thyroid removed in Oct 2015 and was given Levo, it made me very ill. Then I joined this site and

found answers the people on here will help you. Why did you have your thyroid removed?
