When should I take my last dose of Synthroid before Wednesday afternoon thyroid blood testing?

I finally got my primary care physician to write an order for free T3:

1. TSH

2. Free T3

3. Free T4

4. Thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPO)

5. Thyroglobulin antibody

I'll be taking the blood tests on Wednesday afternoon. When should my last dose of Synthroid be taken, on Tuesday morning?

Having your blood test in the afternoon will mean your TSH result will be lower than an early morning test and most doctors only look at the TSH result alone before deciding what to do.

The recommendation on the forum is all tests for thyroid hormones to be at the very earliest possible, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose of levo and the test and take it afterwards.

If I were you I'd try to get an early a.m. blood test which will benefit you best.

Thanks. So is it ideal to get the blood taken 24 hours after having taken thyroid meds, or longer than 24 hours?
