Blood test tomorrow at 9.30 am when should I stop my T3 and T4?

Last dose of Levo should have been 9.30am this morning (test 24 hours after last dose)

T3 should be split into two (or three) doses today. Last dose between 9.30pm tonight and 1.30am (test 8-12 hours after last portion of daily dose).

My last dose would normally be at 5pm as I can’t take it too late as it affects my sleep. Will that still be ok and then I’ll take it after the test?

No, taking your last dose of T3 at 5pm wont give you an accurate measure of your normal circulating amount of hormone, it will give you a false low FT3 level. To give an accurate measure it should be taken no earlier than 9.30pm.

Hi Runner25. Levo 24hrs before and T3 8-12hrs before. Just try and make it the same hours before with T3, Levo isn’t so sensitive. So if you didn’t take your Levo this morning, I’d probably just leave it now at this time if day.

How do you take your T3?

In 5mcg doses 7am 1pm and about 5pm

I took it at 8.30 pm as it knew that any later would disturb my sleep! Hopefully that will be ok for a 9.30am test

I think that as long as you leave the sane amount of time each time you do a test, you should be able to gauge it 🤗
