20 grams Protein

Have been advised to have 20 grams of protein for breakfast to support my adrenal glands and reduce my cortisol levels. I have an underactive thyroid and currently on combination of T4/T3. An egg I believe contains 7.3 grams of protein. How on earth do I eat something containing 20 grams of protein? Wary of protein shakes as they contain so many additives.

Could someone please advise me?

Many thanks

Two eggs and a sausage?

100 g mushrooms contains 3.1 g protein. So, 100 g mushrooms and 1 egg, you're already over 10 g protein. Double the amount and make an omelette.

Or, 100 g chicken (cold chicken from the night before?) contains 31 g protein.

100 g smoked haddock is exactly 20 g protein.

There's so much you could eat. :)

You might find one of these helpful if you need to know the carbs/protein/fat in different foods - I have the larger book and I find it helpful now that I've embarked on a low carb diet :

That's a great idea thanks.

That's a lot of protein in one go for a woman. Might need some digestive enzymes with that. Tub of cottage cheese will do it, easily.
