I used to use this forum a few years ago and stopped as I used Nature Throid so had most things under control, it was a really good medication for me. Since it was unavailable I’ve had to go back to Levo which I don’t think suits me at all, pretty shocked to find that NDT’s are largely unavailable and the price hike in those that are make it unaffordable.
I have Hashi’s, Sjogren’s and type 2 diabetes plus problems with bile duct stones, despite 3 stone removal’s I still have major problems but doctors have dismissed it following the last removal.
I was reading about amino acid deficiency and came across Green Leaf Smart Protein Blend which claims to have good results for thyroid issues. I wondered whether anyone here has tried it and if so did it help? Would be really grateful if anyone has any info.
Many thanks.

Like so many things over the years, there is currently what amounts to a fad, a promotion, of amino acids.
This does not mean there is anything wrong with them. Nor that they might not be helpful for some. But when there is this sort of situation, we see the products mentioned everywhere. Untold affiliate links and other ways of exploiting.
We will see some who claim to have benefitted. Some who were unable to tolerate them. And lots who notice nothing.
Be careful.
And next year, there will be another raft of products...
Thank you, I did think the same but there are a lot of positive reviews and articles and like a lot of desperate people I almost got carried away. I thought it might be best to ask if anyone amongst the group knew much about it before I bought it.
Maybe I just need to source some affordable NDT, I had a really good pharmacy in America but the costs of it make it out of reach, let alone the import costs which are ridiculous.
Would be helpful if the doctors took these issues seriously but I find they don't so feel I have to find my own solution.
I’m concerned about affiliate links which seem to be associated with several supplements just now. Ancestral Supplements and Three Arrows Heme Iron are just two I’ve encountered this week.
As you say, there is probably nothing wrong with them - some people benefit and some don’t. I’m just very wary of any marketing which includes affiliate (or ambassador) roles which give affiliates financial incentives for promoting their products.
It is absolutely right to be wary of affiliate links (and similar).
I have many times edited posts which include personal identification because it is impossible to know whether they are used to reward the poster. Most of the time, I think the poster has been unaware of the issues and what they were doing. But probably not always.
Similarly, it is one reason that tinyurl and other link shorteners are so bad. Unless you know what you are doing, they might well hide affiliate link information.
The built-in HealthUnlocked link shortening is much better as it takes you to an intermediate page where the full link is clearly displayed.
If anyone sees any questionable links, please report them.
It's really not helpful when you are desperately looking for something to help, so difficult to try and find what may be useful. So glad I posted here before I parted with money as the things I read about Smart Protein was really encouraging. Think I got a bit too hopeful. Still trying to research Metavive but worried I might be on the wrong track.
Thank you for that, that is helpful as it's led me on to Metavive which looks promising. Does anyone know if this is helpful and if it is a sort of NDT?
This has been promoted heavily on X (Twitter). It has a load of misinformation about most deiodinase taking place in the liver and their protein solving all our problems. They do seem to have lots of endorsements but if you put up a critical post the posting is taken down and a new one put up.I would stay away from this, I think it is cynical exploitation.
Thank you jimh111, I nearly bought some as I got so hopeful, I'm so glad I posted on here, been saved money I can ill afford am really grateful. I did wonder about all those glowing endorsements!
