Low Blood Pressure

Morning, I was wondering if any one experienced there blood pressure going low on levothyroxine ?

My latest blood test are as follows

Free t4 17

Free T3 4.2

Tsh 4.03

I have been experiencing low BP and chills the last few weeks and feeling tired and a bit teary ! This morning my BP was 103/77 on waking usually I'm around 115/77 ish but finding this is a bit to low for me so I've been drinking lots of water to try and raise it.

I do have a doctors appointment this afternoon but was looking for some advice before I go.

Maybe you need an increase of Levothyroxine - you do not mention your dose. Your TSH is better around 1 if you are on treatment.

If you are feeling low then it is possible your B12 could be under 500 - along with low Folate - Ferritin and VitD. Ask for those tests too - if they have not been done.

Are you on any other medication ? I see from your other posts you had an over-active thyroid and had RAI.

Thanks for your reply I'm on 75 mg at the moment ! I had low vit d but am on a supplement for that now !

How much VitD - and what was your result before you started supplementing ?

Have you had the other tests done that I mentioned above for B12 - Folate - Ferritin ?

75 mcg is a smallish dose - maybe you need more

1,000 unit yes all others tested they were fine ! Just been to GP she says stay on75 mg and retest in two months ! Oh well must all be in my imagination!!
