Can anyone tell me if my vitamin D levels have changed? The doctor ordered a different test to the one before so I cannot compare. I'm trying to figure out why I feel so tired and anxious.
Results for April 27, 2018:
VITAMIN D, 1,25 (OH)2, (18-72 pg/mL) 49
VITAMIN D3, 1,25 (OH)2 49
Results from Jan 26, 2018
VITAMIN D,25-OH,TOTAL,IA 57 (30-100 ng/mL)
i was feeling good in January ( maybe because in December I had started supplementing with Vit D and Iron ?) and by March my fatigue and anxiety seemed to have gone away. Then first week of April I got a cold virus and have felt fatigued and anxious since then.
Just for the record April 27, 2018 test results
T 4 free- 1.4 (0.8-1.8 ng/dL)
T 3 free 2.5 (2.3-4.2 pg/mL)
TSH 1.25
After April test results my GP also upped my levothryoxin from 62.5 to 75.
GP did not do Ferritin test but did iron panel:
IRON, TOTAL
56 (40-190 mcg/dL)
IRON BINDING CAPACITY 316 ( 250-450 mcg/dL (calc))
% SATURATION 18 (11-50 % (calc))
AST was 90 (10-35)
ALT was 128 (9-46)
so my GP told me to stop taking supplements the holistic doctor recommended (holistic doctor had given them to me to help my liver)- cut back Vitamin D from 8000 daily to 8000 once a week.
(I'm in USA BTW but I am originally from UK- hence my use of the term GP)
Thank you in advance for your help.

Not sure why your GP did the 1,25 vitamin D test (the latest results) as it is advised to always do the 25 hydroxy (the first result) as it gives a better indication of vitamin D body stores. The first test result indicates you are vitamin D is fine - the optimal range from the vitamin D council is 50-70ng/l -, and the first result cannot be compared to the later results as it is a different test completely.
While your iron saturation and binding capacity may indicate that your iron levels are ok, without a ferritin test plus a full blood count it's hard for anyone to interpret anything concrete about how your body is dealing with iron and it's iron stores. Ideally you want a full blood count and ferritin test plus iron panel to see what is going on not just one of them. You only repeat one of them e.g. ferritin if you know that was low before and nothing else was wrong.
I can't interpret your liver results as it again appears your doctor has just picked tests to do at random that don't give a complete picture, however they are out of range.
The only tests that are easy to interpret are your thyroid ones and your TSH is too high should be below 1 while you T3 is too low.
I would suggest next time you find a doctor who does a full panel of tests not just picking ones at random and does the specific tests you ask for so you can do comparisons and work out what's going on- after all you are paying for it.
