had an extremelly expensive blood test done via The Marion Gluck clinic in London, I nearly fainted when I was told the cost of £430 (when I was told by the Functional doctor I see there that it "would save me money if she treated my Bio- Identical Hormone treatment at same time as my thyroid" )
Any way - I have complained in writing.
Please can your lovely experts advice me on this test as I'm as usual getting mixed advise from doctors? At the mo. I take 3 grains of NDT a day & take Bio Indentical Hormones - Testosterone & Estriol mixes

Never believe them when they say that! I can get a pelvic scan done for a lot less at Mothercare than at their clinic, ditto thyroid bloods, so I just refuse. I do let them do my sex hormone bloods as that's what I go for. Their blood test are always really expensive, but since they expanded, they insist on doing at least one lot. They used to diagnose and treat on symptoms many years ago.
Thyroid bloods look as expected for NDT - high in range free T3, low in range free T4 (don't care about TSH).
They were happy with my results: My testosterone is much higher than yours. My FSH is way higher, my oestrogen is a bit higher, my progesterone is about the same. My DHEA is lower (but better than the previous year). My vit D is much higher and I also have results for LH and ferritin. I take bi-oestrogen, progesterone and DHEA.
Well I will not trust them again that's for sure ! Thanks so much for taking the time to reply- I can't get my head round these fugures- (I admit I've not tried!) Enough managing the AIP regime *& my full time work! I also take DHEA daily .
So I was feeling not as good as before December so I have upped my NDT by extra 1/2 a grain at lunch time ....(What do you think of that? My Doctor at Gluck clinic told me to REDUCE) ? ( my private ENDO said take up by 1/2 a grain ) About 3 weeks ago - Think I 'm feeling better - Although today I'm at my desk & my eyes feel awful _ I don't do cognative well (My hair has been falling out a lot )
I'm quite happy with the Gluck clinic for my biohrt, but not as happy as I was when I first went. But I think I might now have a reputation with some of the new doctors for being stroppy! I think I would have either left NDT the same or tried 1/4 grain increase, but I take T3 only so I don't really know.
I don't understand the sex hormone numbers, I just go on how I feel. Progesterone is supposed to make you feel happy, but too much makes you feel tired (but not like hypo exhausted). Too little testosterone make you have no get up and go, but too much makes you very, very angry.
