Your FT3 looks too low. You either need increase in dose of Levothyroxine or likely would benefit from addition of small dose of T3.

Dr Toft, past president of the British Thyroid Association and leading endocrinologist, states in Pulse Magazine,

"The appropriate dose of levothyroxine is that which restores euthyroidism and serum TSH to the lower part of the reference range - 0.2-0.5mU/l.

In this case, free thyroxine is likely to be in the upper part of its reference range or even slightly elevated – 18-22pmol/l.

Most patients will feel well in that circumstance. But some need a higher dose of levothyroxine to suppress serum TSH and then the serum-free T4 concentration will be elevated at around 24-28pmol/l.

This 'exogenous subclinical hyperthyroidism' is not dangerous as long as serum T3 is unequivocally normal – that is, serum total around T3 1.7nmol/l (reference range 1.0-2.2nmol/l)."

Can also request list of recommended thyroid specialists, some are T3 friendly

Professor Toft recent article saying, T3 may be necessary for many. Note especially his comments on current inadequate treatment following thyroidectomy or RAI

Vitamin D needs improving to around 100nmol. Better You vitamin D mouth spray works well as avoids gut malabsorption

B12 and folate work together and both are too low. It's recommended B12 is at least 500, but nearer or above top of range is likely better.

Supplementing a good vitamin B complex with folate in rather than folic acid, plus may also need a sublingual B12 lozenge (eg Jarrow 1000mcg)

If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 3-5 days before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

Ferritin could be better too. Eating liver once a week should help improve

So I had my GP appt today. She clearly had no clue. Wouldn't entertain any of what I said. I have her a long list of symptoms and information around vitamins etc all she could focus on was self help for anxiety! Obv anti depressants were offered were she was kindly told where she could put them!! She stated she will write to the endo for advise! Yea ok love you do that!

Looks like it's down to me to get myself well starting on getting my levels up with D3 protocol and b12/folate. Then I'll see how to address thyroid!

Feeling very fed up by it all!

Sorry you got such typical useless results

Absolutely no point seeing a standard endo, they are all mainly diabetes specialists

Very often completely disinterested in vitamin levels. Also currently pressurised not to prescribe T3

If you want an endo - choose one off the Thyroid UK list who is T3 friendly

I have got that list came through other day.

I think I'm gonna concentrate to get my vitamin levels improved and then see how I feel and then look to improve my thyroid levels.

Thank you for your advise.
