Hi, Has anyone from the UK purchased T3 from Mexico and if they have were you charged import tax and also did you receive it? Thanks in advance for replies.

Purchasing T3 abroad, import tax customs etc (UK)
All imports over the value of £15 are subject to Vat on the whole amount, including postage and a handling charge, usually of £8.
I have had T3 from Mexico. The supplier I used was good, it arrived quickly, mine came straight through and I didn't have to pay the VAT and Royal Mail handling fee. I was lucky because technically it should have attracted the extra charges. It's the luck of the draw really where that's concerned.
HI, thanks I have ordered so fingers crossed it arrives without the charge, will pay the £8 if I have too it will be worth it to feel better!!
I've been getting T3 from Mexico and haven't had to pay import charges. I also take Nature-throid which I buy from the States and nearly always have to pay charges on that. I think only once did it get through unnoticed.
It’s a postcode lottery. I recall a post a while back. We figured out Brighton and two other counties had stringent customs.
I wondered if it was because the CCG had something to do with it. Ie had warned hmrc of their rulings to stop T3 in said areas and hmrc to look out for self sourced meds. London seems to be 50/50 but I reckon due to the amount of post. Volume versus staff 💪🏾. The tri circle of Kent - Ramsgate, Margate & Broadstairs always had charges. My conclusion the bigger the population the lesser the chance of it not getting through.
I find it difficult to see how county could affect this. Area - possibly. For example, post going to Scotland might come into Glasgow or Prestwick, that for southern England into one of the London airports, etc. Hence it would go through the process at that airport or the nearest facility.
Anyone with experience from the Post Office/Royal Mail point of view?
Good morning Helvella,
I should have used the word area instead of county. I couldn’t remember the alternative single word for catchment area that are smaller / towns. We technically have 4 airports in London. But only City Airport is the nearest to covering West London. It’s also a business airport so I assume the hub arrives into Gatwick as it has the most international flights. Heathrow is closest to Mount Pleasant. I’d also be interested to know from a RM employee point of view. I shall ask my RM friends if they know anyone. Thank you for your comment.
Be careful as well because they do watch addresses. So don't buy a lot of imported items at one time. Spread them out or have them sent to friends homes too.
Many thanks for all the replies will update once/if it comes in, fingers crossed.
I have bought T3 from Mexico on a number of times and as yet have been lucky not to have attracted any fees from Royal Mail. As I live in Derby close to a major freight import hub at East Midlands airport I can only suggest that it depends on which Royal Mail parcel office the parcel comes through.
