I am danish and diagnosed with Hypothytosism. I've been on Erfa Thyroid for the last years. Here in Denmark the situation is deperate. Doctors, who prescribe Natural Thyroid are now persecuted by the health autorities and it is now almost impossible to be treated with Natural Thyroid i DK. People are desperate and looking out of the Contry for hel. How are the conditions in your contry?
In France, natural thyroid is illegal!

Natural dessicated thyroid (NDT) isn't licenced for use in the UK so it is rarely prescribed by NHS doctors. Most patients using NDT have private prescriptions or buy online and self medicate.

There is one non-prescription NDT which was invented by a scientist/researcher (Dr John Lowe) who was also an Adviser before his death to Thyroiduk.org.uk. He would never prescribe levothyroxine as he stated it was through corruption that it became No.1. prescription through monetary incentives to doctors/endocrinologists.
His widow now deals with this part and it is called Thyro-gold and I shall give you details, just in case it comes in useful.
NDT is now no longer prescribed in the UK but some private doctors may do so. Members source their own.
Dr Lowe also wrote a Rebuttal to the British Thyroid Association and the Royal College of Physicians and requested a response for three years but they never did respond before his death.

Considering that the first form of NDT used in 1892 saved us from a terrible death and many of us do not get well on levothyroxine and I am one. I take T3 only. We should be able to have options which suit our bodies.
Thank you very much. I've great respect for Dr. Lowe. I've read his book about Fibromyalgia, because I was in pain, before I got Erfa. Can Thyrogold really replace Erfa?
Crruption? I agree. They (The Medical Industry and their followers) have become thieves, stealing taxmoney, but not helping the public.
I got Erfa from a private doctor in DK. Now the Health Board have taken his rigt to prescribe Thotoid and thes are doing the same to other doctors. It is all about (paid) opinions - not what serves the patients.
We learned i School about the suppression in former times. I dosn't seem to be less now 
The same but many of us buy on line from the USA or other countries. Costly but it works OK.

NDT is legal in the Netherlands, but only prescribed by some doctors. it can be ordered from a couple pharmacies only. The thyroid health care guidelines don't recommend it, but there is activism from NDT users to get that changed in this year's guideline update.
I really hope my GP will prescribe it.

I get my ERFA from a lisbon Farmacia. It’s not on license here but they import it under guidelines. You need a prescription. There is also one in Brussels that works the same way.
I pay more to get it this way but anything dispatched from outside the EU is held here in customs and becomes a nightmare.
You need to check the same for you as some countries are more strict than others.

You also need a script from a doctor at this pharmacy and it’s in Portugal.
