Hi All, I am just starting natural thyroid meds after managing to source some after my usual supplier stopped. I haven’t taken anything for a couple of yrs and slowly have gained weight, felt tired, swollen ankles etc, Can I hear people’s results on natural thyroid medication?

I've started to reduce my natural thyroid (Metavive 1) from 6 tablets down to 5 and then down to 4 in a few weeks.Has anyone got any thoughts on this, thank you

Is natural thyroid or thyroxin likely to interfere with sleep?I'm completely shattered all the time apart from waking due to work stress so I doubt I would notice a small effect.

A friend drew my attention to the book Stop the Thyroid Madness and told me she has substituted half her dose of levothyroxine with dedicated natural thyroid and feels like a new woman.I really need to find out am I actually producing enough or any T3.

I’ve had Hashimotos for 23 years and had a partial thyroidectomy 23 years ago so I’m pretty sure I have very little natural thyroid function left so am reliant on what I take. Four years ago after a similar test result I was given a successful trial of T4 and T3 and got a private prescription.
