Has GP done these test? How recently and have you seen them to discuss

Really need ranges on these results

A TSH of 20 is almost certainly over range. This would give diagnosis of being hypothyroid

Make an appointment to see your GP

Have you had thyroid antibodies tested? If not ask that they are

Also vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Thank you for your reply SlowDragon

Was wondering whether the results indicate hyperthyroid or hypothyroid

My appointment with GP is next week

Do you have the normal ranges of each test? Have you prepared a list of all your symptoms for your GP appointment? You could check the list of symptoms of Underactive Thyroid on the Thyroid UK website.

Definitely ask GP to tests for the nutrients levels already suggested and the Thyroid Antibodies.

Thank you Mary for your reply.

Yes I have the normal ranges.

But not certain of my symptoms maybe they are subtle or I’m not aware

Thanks again for your suggestions

Have you gained weight ? Are there any bowel problems, constipation, any health problems at all? Do you feel 'slowed down' / sluggish sometimes, cold, any hair loss, or hair growth where it should't? Do you ever have slightly low body temperature? Sometimes feel depressed, tired or anxious or confused? Any tinutis? If you look on Thyroid UK website there's is a long list of many of the symptoms. You don't need to have them all, just see how many you do have.

No big changes in my weight or health so far. Maybe couple of other symptoms are quite subtle. Will need to monitor more closely as per your reference list. Thanks again.
