Doesn’t seem to be much mentioned on this form regarding the above, but as I was recommended it and reading up about it, it seems to be very beneficial.
Was wondering if anyone else had any thoughts or experience on it?

Is the liposomal form supposed to survive the digestive process intact? I was found to have low glutathione some time ago, but was advised to take a precursor, N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC).
Hi,
Yes apparently the liposomal does help it pass digestive tract.
I saw something about NAC but wasn’t sure what it was.
There was also something about Acetyl glutathione - apparently taste, odour and shelf life is better but I don’t know if this is marketing from the company
Mentions nac as well as others
NAC and ALA (alpha lipoic acid) both help to regenerate glutathione. Vit C is essential too for the glutathione-ascorbate cycle. Glycine is another GSH precursor, found in bone broth, if you ever make that (quicker and easier with a pressure cooker).
I can't get to my biochem primers just now, but Wikipedia will do just as well in this case.
What test did they do to realise you need to take this, and why did they do this test?
Ohhh right, I have tried NAC didn't feel any different
Do you have any amalgam fillings? I read recently that it’s dangerous to use it if you have (I was and stopped immediately).
Ah no I haven’t thankfully.
That’s why I like this forum- often you can read and read countless pages but it can be difficult to know how it will affect us personally and with thyroid especially.
Thanks for the heads up 👍🏻
Hello Lynneypin, I came across your posting when searching for NAC. I've been taking it for nearly two months now and I've had the best period of health for as long as I can remember (could also be something to do with increased vit D levels with the sunshine). I'm alarmed to read about the contraindication with amalgam fillings, which I have.
I would hate to stop taking the NAC as it looks as though this is a breakthrough. Do you have any info as to why there is a problem and why it's dangerous? The stuff tastes disgusting and seems very acidic which is why I clean my teeth immediately afterwards.
Many thanks
I was referring specifically to glutathione, but there’s lots of information on a Facebook group: Andy Cutler Chelation, Safe Mercury and Heavy Metal Detox. Have a search on there.
