Nutritionist recommended

I contacted a nutritionist recommended by Thyroid UK to explore ASP test. I paid £180 and there was no discussion regarding the my current diet or strategies. The session felt rushed and the report I felt was badly written (rushed) and did not tell me anything I do not already know. NO new insights, standard GF diet (recipes) and supplements recommended, may of which I am already using. I have fed back but they are unwilling to address the points I have raised. Please don't waste your money.

Blooberry, Sorry to hear you've not had a good experience with this nutritionist. If you haven't already done so, do let Thyroid UK know so that they have the opportunity to review their recommendation. thyroiduk.org/about-thyroid...

I'm sorry that your experience was not good and you should let ThyroidUK know so that they may reconsider including this practioner on their list.

However, ThyroidUK are clear that they do not recommend any doctors or practioners, it is purely a list. A recent post from TUKOffice about this:

Blooberry, SeasideSusie makes a good point about Thyroid UK not actually recommending.

Is the nutritionist you consulted with BANT registered? Or CNHC registered?

If yes, maybe get in touch with the relevant body bant.org.uk or cnhc.org.uk

Blooberry,

Sorry to hear about your experience. That certainly shouldn’t be the case especially for that kind of money. Definitely have a look on the BANT website or check out the Optimum Nutrition Clinic at the Institute of Optimum Nutrition (ION):

I agree with most/all comments here that something went wrong. For the money involved, significant time should've been spent and certainly your current diet and supplements considered. Hopefully this experience will be resolved and not put you off seeing a Naturopathic Nutritionist in future. Good luck.
