Wilson's Temperature Syndrome is not medically accepted and Denis Wilson was struck off after one of his patients died after following his protocol to take large doses of T3.
If your GP only tests TSH it won't indicate what your T4 and T3 hormone levels are like. You can order private thyroid tests to check your TSH, FT4 and FT3 via thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin... Medichecks offer #ThyroidThursday discounts. Hypothyroid patients are often low/deficient in ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate so it could be worth ordering Blue Horizon's Thyroid Plus 11 or Medichecks UltraVits to check vits/minerals as well as thyroid levels.
If you post your results and ranges in a new post members will advise whether you are optimally dosed on Levothyroxine or whether a dose increase or the addition of T3 might be beneficial.
Unfortunately you are unlikely to be successful as in primary care practitioners may request it but the labs will ignore the request as they don't deem it necessary for the NHS.
You are far better to try and get your GP to test vitamin D, ferritin, folate and vitamin B12 to save yourself money doing them privately.
Forgot to say when you ask your GP for any test or talk to them about information from this forum make sure you don't simply say you got it off the internet.
State you go the information from Thyroid UK, a charity for those with thyroid disorders that is recommended by NHS Choices.
Many doctors don't understand the resources on the internet for patients with specific conditions and will just think you are a crackpot if you simply say "I got this off the internet".
