The 30mg Carbimazole has kicked in with a vengeance and you are now very over medicated. TSH needs to be <5 for sure and FT4 and FT3 need to be in the low to mid range. I'm really surprised you are feeling well because those results show you are overtly hypothyroid. Maybe you could find out what's in the Graves formula supplement.
Ferritin is over range which, assuming you are not supplementing iron, means there is infection or inflammation in the body. Having such low thyroid hormones could possibly do it.
OK thank you Clutter. I'm very new to all this Thyroid stuff and thought I understood a bit (with lots of help fromvthis site and reading posts/links) then collected my results and was even more confused, I try to manage myself well with diet excersise and rest balance. I don't supplement iron but my ferritin was higher a year ago but I did have bad candida which has gone now so thats probably helping also had had a bad cold so I'll ask for it to be tested in 6 months and see how I do or is there anything else I should be doing? I do have hashi's (no test for anti's this tme I will as for in 10 weeks)
Do you have Graves too? Graves and Hashi's often run in tandem. Hashi's usually causes hypothyroidism but it is likely that Graves is dominant as you are hyperthyroid.
Many people find 100% gluten-free can dampen down Hashi's antibodies.
Hi. I also have graves although not on treatment now. I suspect they might reduce the carb dose as I think your results reflect underactivity now. That was the pattern I followed too. Like you, I also felt well even though the results report underactivity. I had felt very ill when overactive and I remember the endo saying that because I had been extremely overactive and my system under so much stress that my body would be just grateful to have a rest hence I didn't feel any ill effects from being underactive. However, my meds dose was reduced and my results were in range at the next blood test. I continued to feel well.
Hi. No, never been on Levo. My endo used the titration method rather than block and replace for my graves. I don't have hashis by the way. Graves only!
No, I mean did they test for Grave's antibodies. Antibodies won't be subclinical. When doctors talk about 'subclinical Grave's' they usual mean a low TSH with in-range Frees. Not the same thing.
ok thanks 2 months ago TSH receptor antibody 1.3 (<.0.40)
Peroxide antibodies 357 (<60) If I wasn't tested this time (I will check on Monday) I will make sure I am next lotof bloods in 10 weeks I will reduce my carb so to help bring TSH down??
i got in from the wonderful kitty campion after consultation, she has a web site I have been seeing for for almost a year and i also know thats why i feel so well
That's sounded great to hear that Graves supplement formula helped you. May I ask if you know the name of the website for me to order Graves supplement? What is the name brand of Graves supplement and mg? Thank you for your help. Do wish you well!
