Hi can anyone help.. Newly Diagnoised with Graves disease. Based on these figures... A free T4 of 26, a free T3 of 9 and a fully suppressed TSH. Fast forward to my appointment with endo and now TSH <0.05 FT4 20.08, FT3, 6.5 ATPO 31 neg, TRAb 5.4(N<1.8positive) on the notes it says she does have graves but very mild hyperthyroidism. I have been placed on 20mg of carbimazole. I don't quite know what it all means.

Hi Sarah, this website has been helping thyroid patients for many years. This is information about hyperthyroidism. It's hard to tell how mild your case is without seeing the ranges along with your test results. Do you know the range for FT3, that's the usual indicator when it comes to high or low thyroid activity. Are you stressed? Often that is at the core. Do you eat gluten? That is another. stopthethyroidmadness.com/g...

Hi. I have had Graves for 3 years now. You will likely be on carbo for a while. You need your tsh to get up to 1-1.5. It takes a couple of months as there is a long lag time for tsh change. You will have good days and bad days. Just build in extra downtime for yourself as you go along to relax and listen to your body. I had to change my lifestyle and stop binge drinking, so I don't drink much alcohol any more unfortunately. Good luck with your journey. Alex

Thank u Alex, I am not a huge drinker. I completely feel like a bag of crap today literally no energy what so ever, even to lift my legs. (day off as work full time) I used to get like this alot and start taking iron tablets to help. I will ring my doc Monday cause I am bushed x
