I am interested in booking an appointment to discuss bioidentical hormones but live on the North Coast in Northern Ireland. Has anyone any experience of accessing this treatment in N. Ireland?

Bioidentical hormones
Saw my GP recently and she didn’t even know what bioidentical hormones are 😡. I am self medicating to try and combat post menopausal androgenic alopecia, but would like to know what the ratio of oestrogen to progesterone should be ? Just guessing at the moment.
I live in the SW of England.
I think there's someone who does Skype consultations. Can't think of the name at the moment, and Ihave to go out in a minute. I'll PM you when I remember, if that's ok?
I think Marion Gluck clinic in London do Skype consultations.
Thanks so much for your replies. Saw my GP yesterday who was aware of good results from some of her patients using Bio identical hormones. However confirmed that I would need to approach a private company to benefit from this medication though seemed to think that I could get my bloods done through the surgery.... I will speak to Marion Gluck and the harpal clinics, both in London. I have no idea at this stage what costs this might involve!!!! Good luck Petalrugbaba as I would have no idea where to begin with self medicating. If I become any wiser I'll let you know... x
Hi I was just looking through menapause posts and saw yours. Um 51 and currently on BHRT. I read professor John Studd's research and advice and asked mt GP to put me on oestrogel and utogesterone and testosterone gel and was happy to do so. Ive been on this 6 months now ans has really helped my mood I was getting really depressed, exhausted and suffered terrible joint pain. It hasn't made much difference to my weight, but just started ketogenic dietfor that. Ithink Carol Vorderman saw professor Studd and she's i oestrogel. GP tested mt testosterone levels and they were non existentso was hapot to prescribe this in gel formx
