I have been taking cBHRT for 6 months now, and I believe it is not working.
I had an appointment with a lovely lady who was trained by Marian Gluck.....Specialist in Menopause. ( She trains qualified Nurses/doctors who then work private)
I was prescribed a prescription that was to be purchased from the " Special Pharmacy, London " where they compounded my particular prescription into a lozenge. And funny enough, guess who owns this company?? Yes, Marian Gluck!!
What I'm asking is if anyone has tried compounded cbhrt from this pharmacist? And have they worked? They are doing 20% off at the moment!!

They are not oral pills, but sublingual, so similar to a patch but absorbed through buccal membrane - takes at least 30 mins, often longer, to dissolve . AFAIK there are no patches that are dosed to a an individual's needs, just one size fits all. You can get prescription cream, which works for some people, but I found it completely useless - I just didn't absorb it
Yes, I have been taking biohrt compounded by the Specialist Pharmacy (which was set up by the Gluck clinic because there was nowhere in the UK to get individually dosed HRT AFAIK) for over 10 years. Works well for me but you do need to get your prescription adjusted regularly. It took about 6 months to get my dose right to start with and then I've had a couple of adjustments over the last 9 or so years. I started with cream (prescription, not OTC) but that was totally ineffective, so changed to lozenges - they are not something you swallow, they are absorbed slowly through mucous membranes in cheek.
I'm wondering if any of you got an endo there (i am thinking of going there), who also understands those of us on T3. i am going for BHRT, but i know i will have to tell them about T3. Any advice by private message would be fantastic - thank you!
