Sharcott,

You'll have to persist in trying to contact your dentist.

Have you rung your usual dentist to ask them what you should do? I had a similar problem, it was a nightmare and I was extremely unwell and everyone kept shoving me to different people and no help. Ask the dentist to look to see if you need antibiotics. If the dentist can't prescribe antibiotics but thinks you need them then go the GP and tell them to ring your dentist and check and prescribe antibiotics. Go and sit in your dentist reception and refuse to move until the dentist checks you and tell you what you need to do.

Your dentist should have emergency appointments available each day. It might be a case of turning up & waiting, but they ought to see you. As the dentist's receptionist is being so obstructive, would you complain to the practice manager as their role is making appointments not gatekeeping. Perhaps ask for information on the local out of ours emergency dental service if you get nowhere.

I have sinus issues & find using a neti pot filled with a warm saline solution helpful. My neck & shoulder "went" last year, & I had to use a saline nasal spray (Sterimar) instead, & at one bad point a hydrocortisone squirt. These seem to preventative & help reduce bad flare ups, but only with regard to the sinusitis.

I am going to take a walk in I think, they don't realise the effect something like this has when you are already run down with Hashi. Sinus really does effect neck and shoulders Thank you

Infections affect the entire body. :(

You could try a chemist - pharmacists often give better advice than doctors. But you really need to get that tooth out asap. Neti pot is good and there's another that is easier to use but I can't remember what it's called.
