Blood test: PTFRNS, what is this testing ?

Hello,

This morning I requested a TIBC (total iron binding capacity) tests along with other tests from my GP. On my return I checked the test form and did not see TIBC but PRFRNS: What is it? Could not find any information from Dr Google.

If anyone knows what it is I would love to hear from you. Thank you.

Thanks for contacting me. I will find out soon once I get the results and then will also ask GP. Was annoyed she did not request the TIBC test that I wanted but instead saw that odd test ! That’s GPs for you.
