Finally! Full results but baffled. Advice please!

Hi all, I’ve been waiting a week for my antibodies and they are back but within range, I’m so baffled! Anyone the wiser?

Here’s the results

TSH 7 (0.4-4.2)

T4 13.7 (not sure of this sorry)

T3 4.5 (3.1-6.8)

TPO 26.6 (<30)

TPAG 0.3

Ferritin 12 (15-150) one medication for two weeks

B12 719

I could put a lot of my symptoms down to ferritin I guess, minus the heavy periods, bloating, croaky voice. But TSH of 7?? Last one was 5.3 4 years ago. Awaiting GP call back but can kind of guess they’ll say recheck in 3 months!!

Anybody?🤔🙏🏽

Are you taking levothyroxine? Have you been diagnosed hypothyroid? What are you taking for the low ferritin? Did you have vitamin D tested?

Well you are clearly hypo

Your TSH at 7 is well above the range of 0.4-4.2

What time of day did you do this test?

To get highest TSH its best as early in morning as possible and fasting.

FT4 looks on low side, but to be sure you would need the range

TPO antibodies are heading towards top of range and therefore leaky gut and hashimoto's looks possible

Ferritin is dire and needs full testing - see SeasideSusie reply about low ferritin here

healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

Vitamin D needs testing - you can get via vitaindtest.org.uk - £28 if GP refuses

B12 looks OK

No folate test? Ask GP to test

Hallulah! After 6 months of being unwell GP rang earlier and her words were “looks like your thyroid is packing in” 🙈 starting me on 25mcg of levothyroxine and for bloods in 8 weeks.

Strange thing is I’ve just found my range for T4 and the high end is 11.5, making mine high??? How does that work?!!!

Thanks guys 😊
