Zinc Deficiency

Haven't tested for a long time but with the SIBO going on and not being able to absorb the nutrients I am eating I thought I would check my zinc again. It's low but not that low is it? 10.1 (11.5-20).

Just had a little read and apparently it's common with thyroid disorders and obviously not helping with my poor conversion. Wondering if being the level it is would cause me any real problems? Since adding back some T3, am feeling a little better but now need to up from the 5mcg to 10mcg.

What is the best time of day to have Zinc. I read 2hrs after a meal or 1hr before?

What am I not taking don't you mean lol. Everything with the SIBO and Candida but I stopped the zinc some time ago and wondering if that might explain my last two very low T3 readings, even though I don't convert well anyway.

I have an ionic zinc supp, just a few drops in water so best get back onto it I think. Just wondering whether my results are low enough to be causing me problems

I can't say I noticed a difference supplementing zinc or vitamin A but I do both at low dose

The ones that gave me obvious improvements were magnesium, vitamin D, B complex and vitamin C
