Myoinositol For Weight Loss In Hypothyroidism!?

Hi,

I have just read an article on the benefits of Inositol in weight loss on Dr Westin Childs' thyroid website.

Has anyone tried this substance, or taking it for this reason and had any success? It'd be great to hear if this can really help.

I rather doubt it. It's only vit B8, so if you take a B complex, you're already taking it.

It is actually a pseudovitamin and acts differently to vitamins chemically. It is falsely called vitamin D8, hence not always in vit B complex supplements and not in mine when checked. It chemically has many benefits for glucose metabolism, hormonal inbalances and improving leptin resistance all of which can cause weight gain. The doctor isn't stating it's an all alone miracle weight loss cure but can help in cases with above issues and more.
