Flu jab and blood test

Hi all

I’ve just had my flu jab and whilst sitting reading the leaflet it says that it can give positive blood readings for a few days after the flu jab... and I’m having my thyroid bloods done on Friday..... if I’d have known I would have delayed my flu jab. Does anyone know if the flu jab can affect thyroid blood results?

This is what it says......If, for any reason, you or your child has a blood test within a few days following a flu vaccination, please tell your doctor. This is because false positive blood test results have been observed in a few patients who had recently been vaccinated.

Blimey, not very specific is it So many blood tests go by a number rather than just positive or negative.

Some people feel unwell for a few days when they've had the flu jab, and it's best not to have thyroid tests when feeling unwell for any reason.

I've just realised - I've only ever had one flu jab, a few years ago, I wasn't given a leaflet, I feel deprived now

I think I’ll go on Monday morning instead as that will be 6 days since the jab.... it’s a very boring leaflet and they give it to you after the jab! Maybe they should give it to you before!

The patient information should be given to you before the jab - there is one with each injection!

If you read the ingredients you would run out of the door!!! I have had Guillain Barre that is on the list, please research before next years!

I would never have any vaccination ever again! especially the flu jab as it causes more harm and doesn’t work.

Once you have a vaccination, you cannot undo it!

There are another 280 new vaccines in the pipeline and mandatory vaccination is on its way, Italy and Poland now have mandatory childhood vaccines.,

I had a flu jab last year as I have asthma and work with the public hence why I had it. I wasn’t sick last year and I’m feeling okay today after the injection. Where can I read about why the flu jab shouldn’t been given?

I’ve just googled Guillain Barre and what can cause it and listed on the NHS page under causes it states the Flu Vaccine..... I’m shocked! I’m freaking speechless!!! I actually feel sick that I have just put toxic shite into my body!

Lindsay - please don't panic! The nurse who gave you the vaccine should have given you the patient information leaflet which states Guillain Barre and other possible adverse effects. I have been told by a few pharmacists in Boots and Tesco that they give the proper full leaflet so it is not good that many nurses don't.

Now, I don't know exactly how you can try to detox some of the vaccine excipients but asking a Homeopath would be an idea if you wanted to? For now, please don't worry.

The pharmacist gave me the leaflet once he had given me the injection... I’ve also read it’s got Mercury in it and I avoid that at all cost. Honestly what have I done! I don’t feel I’ll but I only had it yesterday! I think I’ll go see Homeopath tomorrow after work. I think I’d rather have flu then the stuff they put in the flu jab. I mean why put GB in it?? It’s crazy! I’ve been telling my parents off for not having it... now I’m going to be telling them to not have it!
