Hi there, has anyone suffered with any side effects from this new over 65's Flu Jab?
I felt awful for about a week after - all the usually Hypothyroidism symptoms but much worse. I have not normally suffered anything like this in the past from the normal Flu Jabs. Would be interested if anyone has suffered similar. Thanks

Thanks for posting this. I haven't yet had the jab and was wondering if it would be a good idea. I'd hate to give myself another problem! Maybe I'll give it a miss this year.
Hi there, I am not sure that would be a good idea, as I cannot be sure it was the Flu Jab which made me feel so ill, Maybe talk to your GP before you decide. Thanks.
Hi cheslee I have Hashimotos and had the new over 65's flu jab about 3 weeks ago. I was / am fine ( other than the usual permanent Hashimoto exhaustion ).
Sorry to hear you are having a difficult time cheslee . I hope you will feel better soon. I often feel as if we just have to struggle on with the very heavy burden of Hashimoto's on our backs. A bit like carrying an elephant around. 🐘🐘🐘🐘😀
Hi Bernie51, what I find so exhausting is the lack of support from the NHS or the time and knowledge from the GP. It seems all of us on this site are fighting the system every day. However I have learn't to live with it and there are so many people worse off than me. Thanks for your kind words. B x
Unless you're particularly susceptible to wintertime flu, there's no benefit in getting the jab. Will they give the regular jab ro over-65s? I haven't had any colds or flu in 15 years. Last winter, four deadly ones! Thinking of the jab this year (lie about my age!)
