Wonder can anyone help. I have started supplementing with D3 and know from here that I need to add K2. I looked for some and it proudly annoying helped with blood clotting!
Problem is I have AFib and take a shed load of drugs to stop that happening. To D3 or not to D3!
As D3 aids absorption of calcium from food, the calcium needs directing to bones and teeth otherwise it can be deposited in arteries and soft tissues causing calcification of arteries and kidney stones etc. K2 will direct the calcium to the right place.
Of course, we all have to do our own research and make our own mind up.
Thank you for that, had my gallbladder removed at the age of 32 with two very large stones and take calcium channel blockers for my heart, so think I will do some more research.
Vitamin K1 is the blood clotter. When I was a vet nurse we used to treat pets who had eaten warfarin rat poison by mistake with injections of vitamin K1.
