Vit C and NDT🤔

Hi,I'm sure I've read on occasion that although all thyroid medications are to be taken away from food/coffee/supplements ect that sometimes it's ok to take vit C with your NDT .....I'm wondering if that is ok and why??....Is it possibly to help support the adrenals whilst you take the NDT..?I ask this because when I take my dose (or doses if I split) I notice that pretty soon after my temperature drops and I'm wondering if adding a dose of vit C to my dose if that could prevent the temperature drop??...If so how much should I take ,thanks

I doubt there has been any proper research on desiccated thyroid being taken with vitamin C. Yes, there has been research which suggests vitamin C can enhance absorption of levothyroxine. You very likely have to be careful to use pure vitamin C - not one of the numerous multiple-ingredient forms (e.g. orange sparkling!)
