I think this might just be the solution I'm looking for, for my iron problem.

Hope it helps someone else here, too.

This is interesting and I am wondering whether it would be more beneficial for us all to have not just ferritin levels checked but also a serum iron panel as well to assess the wider picture.

Hope it works for you. :)

Well, ideally we should. It's just that some doctors thing that ferritin and serum iron are the same thing! Or else they won't test because of costs. Sigh.

You're welome, Marz.

Well that's interesting. When they say to take Vitamin C with iron tablets, maybe that hasn't been effective in the way we all thought. I.e., the Vit C alone is what raises our levels, whether taken with iron or without. Maybe that's the real reason Vit C can sometimes seem to boost our immunity.

Or maybe I'm just overthinking this. :D

I don't know, but I think it needs a lot of thinking about. Anyway, keep taking the pills! Magnesium and vit C, that is, not iron! lol

Hi, I have recently started taking whole Vit C to Try and raise my everlasting low Ferritin. Let me know how you get on Greygoose, will be interesting if we get a result.

Well, don't think I'll be trying it any time soon. I've got a huge jar of ordinarly vit C to finish up first!

That is very interesting. My iron is fine but ferritin always low. Will start taking a bit more Vic C. Thanks for the article.
