A while back I was given a link to what I believe to be a T3 supplier in India. I mailed to ask if could buy without prescription. The reply was :-
"Yes, you may buy from us without prescription.
Right now we are only having Tiromel made in Turkey. Please do research on the product so you make sure it will help your needs. It is a mix of T3 and T4.
T3 Uni-Pharma got stopped from the market and we expect it earliest at the end of October. Must be something similar with the issue you are having with UK government. Just these days government care to have more sick people than to work for their well being. That is easier to rule them. But always there will be people who care for other human beings. "
So - Jeremy Hunt et al, is easier to rule sick people. I guess I knew that really

Turkish Tiromel should be liothyronine (T3) only and should not contain T4, so I would certainly not trust that supplier for this reason alone. And as I understand it, Uni-Pharma T3 is now only available on prescription, so I also would not trust anyone who claims otherwise, either now or after October. Please be wary of sending money to this supplier.
I can't comment for other countries, but I really don't think the notion that it is easier to rule sick people is a useful way to explain what is happening to thyroid patients here in the UK. This sort of scaremongering talk will do nothing whatsoever to help stop the NHS de-prescribing of T3.
Hello Red Apple, my UK based Greek friend has links to Greek pharmacies / his family business. He will update me if it's prescription only and I will of course post on here with any changes he notifies me of. UniPharma do a combined pill of T3/T4. I have the latter and also separate T3/T4. I'm not sure about a Tiromel combination pill as it doesn't agree with me so I stick to UniPharma.
I think it probably is the combined T4/T3 by UniPharma. I was given the link by someone on here about 6 months ago. I have no reason to doubt what was written to me. But I won't be buying from them. I was making enquiries to see how the land lay
This thread isn't really about the availability of various UniPharma thyroid medications, but about the individual supplier that Marigold22 contacted.
I made my above comments because I don't think this particular supplier has a clue what they're saying or doing, and I certainly wouldn't want their details passed on as a 'trusted supplier'.
That said, with regard to the availability of UniPharma T3, our own long term forum member Marz lives in Greece, depends on T3 and keeps us all fully updated on the situation with UniPharma T3. I believe @Marz now has to show her pharmacy a prescription to be able to obtain her T3, and I'm quite sure she will be amongst the first to know if that situation changes.
Whilst your own contact may be able to obtain UniPharma T3 without prescription as a personal favour to you, that doesn't necessarily mean it would be available to everyone else
Hi I'm in Greece right now and there is no way u can get t3 because it's not and has not been available for over 8 months . No one knows when it will be back in. U don't need a prescription and it was really cheap. Unfortunately for a lot of us here it's quite hard because there is nothing that u can replace it with.
My comments were based on the information you gave in your original post above. Rest assured there are plenty of people willing to take money on false pretences from desperate thyroid patients.
Furthermore, even if the tablets supplied are genuine - they might not be quite what you expect.
By far the majority of vendors of liothyronine list them as "Cytomel" - even when the picture is of another product (e.g. Uni-Pharma, Tiromel or Grossman Cynomel).
If I were buying liothyronine from India, I'd expect it to be an Indian make - not Turkish.
Yes I believe you are being a bit naive. Fake medicines are everywhere, it is a multi-million dollar market and Indian companies are in it up to their armpits. That is why we say to always ask for a personal recommendation for suppliers.
Have you emailed them again? For an update. I have received UniPharma T3 this month and my supplier said it hasn't been stopped nor is a prescription being asked for its significantly harder to source but still available OTC. Please also see my reply to RedApple below. And as RedApple said be cautious of this site.
