Me too please. Running out of T3 soon. It seems there are only some bodybuilding sites that still have some T3 in stock (but VERY overpriced).

Emporia, Members are more likely to share their source if you share your thyroid story and post your latest results including FT4 and FT3.

hi

sorry didn't realise that results were needed etc.

I got diagnosed as underactive around 3 years ago, with a tsh of 5.00.

TSH 1.02 mIU/L 0.27 - 4.20

FREE THYROXINE 14.25 pmol/L 12.00 - 22.00

TOTAL THYROXINE(T4) 87.7 nmol/L 59.00 - 154.00

FREE T3 4.16 pmol/L 3.10 - 6.80

Thyroid AntibodiesTHYROGLOBULIN ANTIBODY *379.000 IU/mL 0.00 - 115.00

THYROID PEROXIDASE ANTIBODIES*158.5 IU/mL 0.

VITAMIN B12 248 pmol/L 140.00 - 724.00

FOLATE (SERUM) *2.89 ug/L 2.91 - 50.00

FERRITIN *233 ug/L 13.00 - 150.00

I do have a fatty liver, but think this is related having read other posts, and until thyroid is optimum that probably wont improve. I dont take iron supplements, but do take selenium for hashis.

I take 100mg levo a day, this has been increased from 75, but still dont feel 100%, still want to sleep around lunch time every day.

the one thing that I worry about is my heart rate it is around 80, but when I was on 75mg levo it was quite often around 130/140.

sharonlow your thyroid results don't show a conversion problem. Good conversion takes place when FT4: FT3 ratio is 4:1 or less. Yours is 14.25 : 4.16 so 3.42 : 1

Your FT4 is 22.5% through it's range and your FT3 is 28.6% through it's range. Both are very low but in balance with FT3 a bit higher in range than FT4, which is as it should be.

You could do with more Levo which will increase both FT4 and FT3.

As you have Hashi's, are you strictly gluten free to try and reduce antibodies? Keeping TSH suppressed also can help reduce them.

**

Your folate is under range and B12 is low. Do you have any signs and symptoms of B12 Deficiency - check here

b12deficiency.info/signs-an...

Has your GP said anything about these, particularly the folate level?

You should take these results over to the Pernicious Anaemia Society forum here on Health Unlocked for further advice, mention your ferritin level and any signs of B12 Deficiency.

Have you had Vit D tested?

Thank you SeasideSuzie

yes the result was

110 <25 deficient >200 consider reducing.

should I take B12? have looked up symptoms, have tinnitus, which is getting worse, some numbness in hands and feet but this has improved with the higher levo dose.

GP hasnt said anything about results other than "within range"

spent a long time fighting to get levo increased to 100, as its all in my mind!!

Of course it's not all in your mind, jeez they come out with some cr@p to cover their lack of knowledge!

Your Vit D is fine, recommended level is 100-150nmol/L. It would be worth retesting around October/November as most of us need to supplement during the winter.

**

As for folate and B12, the Pernicious Anaemia Society forum are best place to give advice, giving them the information I mentioned in my previous post

healthunlocked.com/pasoc

FOLATE (SERUM) *2.89 ug/L 2.91 - 50.00

FERRITIN *233 ug/L 13.00 - 150.00

As your GP has said everything is within range, I would be inclined to ask him whether he needs to go to Specsavers because those two certainly aren't (but then, I'm a cronky old cow!!!
