I am on T3 only from my GP. They keep on about the cost to me. Can anyone give me facts on where you an buy it abroad over the counter? where you can buy it online without a prescription and rough costs please.

Why?
Just keep taking what you have prescribed and absolutely do not care about the costs. NHS is rotten to the core and has more money to waste than you can imagine.
It was NHS clerk(s), whole buyer department or someone involved privately in the whole cost rise cock up or set up.
It is not your, your GP or anyone else's problem.
That's exactly what I told my GP when he went on t3 cost runt.
Not your problem or responsibility.
Hi I completely agree with trelemorele! The NHS is there for us all and the cost of the medicine shouldn't matter as long as it is the right one for you.
Next time tell your doctor that if s/he and their colleagues weren't so greedy for higher and higher wages there would be a lot less cost to the NHS! Also remind them that as a taxpayer you helped pay for their fancy and very expensive education. x
I agree with the other replies. You were prescribed it because you need it. The cost is not your concern. You have paid for your medical care through your National Insurance contributions, consider it your medical insurance and you have a legitimate claim.
I remember suffering crippling back pain in one job and going to the doctors for a sick note. The ancient doctor made me do a series of movements (my back pain came on from standing and walking) and gave me a sick note for a week. He also wrote on my records 'Encourage to return to work'. I was gob smacked at being treated like some lazy scumbag who didn't want to work when I had worked full time all my life since the age of 15! x
