Hi everyone - please can someone interpret my results for me - done by Medichecks on the 5 September 2017 - Thyroid stimulating hormone 4.56 - mIU/L 0.27 - 4.20 and Free Thyroxine 11.8 - pmol/L 12.00 - 22.00 then my Active B12 128.6 pmol/L 25.10 - 165 . 00 then Folate (Serum) 4.14 ug/L 2.91 - 50.00 Vitamin D 12.7 nmol/L 50 - 200 - and my CRP - High Sensitivity 12.7 mg/l/L 0-00 - 5.00 - thank you for all of your help. I had my last tests done with Medichecks in Fenruary and some of their ranges seem to have changed - thia time i also asked for my Adrenal gland to be tested - but i do not know what that comes under - so hopefully it is one of the above. Thank you. Xeena.

xeena Which Medichecks test was this? There is no Free T3. There's no antibodies test. There's nothing to do with adrenals here, was that a saliva test? It doesn't matter that Medichecks have changed some ranges, it's where in the range you lie so you can still compare if you need to.

Thyroid stimulating hormone 4.56 - mIU/L 0.27 - 4.20

Free Thyroxine 11.8 - pmol/L 12.00 - 22.00

Over range TSH, under range FT4. You should have a diagnosis of hypothyroidism really. Unlikely on the NHS until your TSH reaches 10 unless you've got a doctor who will take into account a below range FT4. Testing antibodies would have been helpful as you may have autoimmune thyroid disease if they were positive.

Active B12 128.6 pmol/L 25.10 - 165 . 00

Folate (Serum) 4.14 ug/L 2.91 - 50.00

I can't comment on Active B12, only normal serum B12. You should go back to the PA forum for advice on this. Folate is very low though, generally said it should be at least half way through it's range.

**

Vitamin D 12.7 nmol/L 50 - 200

You know this is bad, it's even lower than when you posted your results 12 months ago. Did you try the Better You spray that SlowDragon recommended? You can't continue with this level, it is severely deficient. Your GP shouldn't be telling you to buy your own OTC supplements, he should be following the guidelines. If you can't tolerate ordinary supplements then some people have had Vit D injections, ask about those. Don't let your GP fob you off.

**

CRP - High Sensitivity 12.7 mg/l/L 0-00 - 5.00

This is an inflammation marker and as you have so many medical conditions it's quite likely that something there is causing this to be high.

Hithere SeaSideSusie. - thank you for the reply. I have just phoned Medichecks and was told that they did not do the adrenal test and that they are sending me a test kit out to do one - i specifically asked them to do an adrenal test and they said they would - but hey ho i will do it when i get the kit. I know my results are bad and i have been on to my surgery today as i have been trying to get an appointment for nearly two months and was told they did not have any - so i said okay - i will put their comments on Facebook and tell everyone that the doctor will not see me - she asked me to hold on and when she came back she said that i have an appointment for tuesday - so that worked. My vitamin D and B12 they choose to ignore - i did have six loading doses in March this year and am supposed to be having them every three months - but once again the appointment system is against me - the last time i saw the nurse i asked her if she would show me how to inject myself with B12 - she said no and she asked the doctor who also said no - i have my needles and B12 ampules - but do not know how to do it. I have seen a gastroenterologist who was dismayed with the state of me - she wrote to my doctor stating that i should have injections for both B12 and D - my doctor said she had not received the letter and got on to the hospital and was told that the gastroenterologist had left. So what is the free Thyroxine that they have on my test paper - i have no idea. I do have my test results online - but do not know how to send them to the Thyroid UK site. My adrenal gland has been out of sinc since 2011 when i had my Genova tests done - they told me then that is was exhausted - i am so fed up with being so ill - i have recently been tested for liver blockage which is supposed to be due to taking medication (tramadol and morphine patches) so i stopped taking them - i am still awaiting the results of ct scans ten weeks on. I am lost - i have had eight new doctors in the last seven years - and none of them want to help - they say it is all in my head and offer me anti deppressants - to which i say no thank you. Sorry this is so long and thank you for your help.

Free Thyroxine is FT4.

If you have your NHS results online and don't know how to post the picture on the forum, why not just type them in.

If your adrenals were exhausted back in 2011 this should have been addressed. Thyroid, adrenals and sex hormones all work together and need to be in balance. Adrenals out of whack and thyroid wont work properly.

As far as your B12 injections are concerned, I was self injecting many years ago, it's quite easy. If I remember correctly it was into the muscle at the top of my thigh, but ask on the PA forum about it, I'm sure they'll guide you or check out these links

youtube.com/watch?v=CRRiYji... (that's a Youtube video and I don't know if that link will work, if not just Google "Self inject B12"

Hi there SeasideSusie - they are private Medicheck results - i had some done in February this year and then some done on the 5th of this month - but they did not do the adrenal one - the first adrenal one i had done was back in 2011 or 2012 and it was Louise Warville who helped me with the results back then - she also mentioned my B12 and vitamin D way back then. I will ask my grandaughter if she can post them on here for me - although my family think i have lost the plot with my health and i tell them yes i have - i am ill and do not want to be and the constant pain is really getting me down - because i only have one kidney and the one Adrenal gland - i am up all night going to spend a penny and am just exhausted. I will watch the video and see if i can do it - thank you so much for your help. PS i have posted on the PA site as you advised. Good health to you.
