How long have you been taking 800iu vitamin D for? All your results are low or below range. Vitamins need to be halfway in range to feel well and for levothyroxine to perform properly. B12 needs to be at top of range. Post your B12 results on the Pernicious Anaemia Healthunlocked forum for advice. Even though B12 is just within range your doctor should check for pernicious anaemia to rule it out.
Look at SeasideSusie posts for best advice on vitamins and supplementing. Take the information to your GP and ask to be treated according to guidelines. YOu need loading doses of vitamin D. Point out the supplement has failed to raise your levels sufficiently.
Hi I have been taking the vitamin D since 2014. GP says the 800iu prescribed is adequate. I will look at other posts now
I have to read and run this morning, going out for a few hours in a minute, but what your GP says about 800iu being adequate is utter BS!
Ask your GP "If 800iu is adequate, how come after 3 years supplementing my level is at the bottom end of the deficiency range at 30.8, and the Vit D Council recommends a level of 100-150nmol/L"
All these are extremely low. But this will be due to the ridiculously large drop in dose of Levo and so now you are hypo
Getting the dose back up, probably in 25mcg steps, testing 6 weeks after each increase.
Plus improve your vitamin levels
Vitamin D you need much larger dose to bring back up. 3000iu Better you mouth spray (avoids gut issues) or 5000iu soft gels

But also with Hashimoto's you need to really consider changing to gluten free diet for at least 3-6 months to see if it helps. Many find it helps significantly and reduces these flares
The Thyroid Secret video series on YouTube is good
Hi Xiri, these results are very low indeed, especially for someone who is taking a VitD supplement. It is very sad that doctors seem unaware of the importance of B12, ferritin, folate and VitD in maintaining out health, and being able to use the thyroid medication we are being given. With a ferritin result that low has your doctor looked into the possibility of iron deficiency Anaemia?
Have a look at the Pernicious Anaemia Society ( B12 deficiency) website, there is a full symptom list on there. Many of the symptoms are very similar to thyroid ones. Your doctor also has drastically reduced your thyroid medication, what reasons were given for that? Did you feel well on the higher dose?
Some of us have thyroid and Low B12 issues together, it isn't uncommon to need treatment for both.
Very best wishes
