Un confirming thyroid : My t4 has been erratic... - Thyroid UK
Un confirming thyroid
Did you have your blood test at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and leave a gap of 24 hours between last dose of levo and test?
No I didn't this wasn't suggested by gp
Your results will be skewed and not optimum.
GPs don't know much about the variation in the TSH which is highest earliest a.m. varies throughout the day and is lowest late p.m. That's why many remain quite unwell.
I'd phone the doctor tomorrow and say you've taken advice from the NHS Choices for information about dysfunctions of the thyroid gland and you need to have a new blood test at the earliest.
Also request, TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies. B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate.
He or the labs may not do all of them but those that aren't done you can get privately from one of our recommended labs.
