Urine results

Had 24 hour urine tests. My T3 is 1.35 ( range 0.61 to 3.38), T4 1.51 (range 1.03 to 8.24) and T3:T4 ration 0.89. I note this is pretty low on the scale but above the min.

All in range so wondering if I should have follow up appointment. Anyone any idea if the above all ok.

Any chance you can add a picture of the results, I'm better when I can see where the results lie on the graph. From the numbers it looks as though you're converting OK. A urine test isn't for diagnosis though, I think you're not yet diagnosed aren't you?

No. Nhs refused test. Lots of symptoms. Saw an endo and he asked for tests. Not yet seen again and debating if to go back as self funding and it's expensive.

Not sure how to upload pic which is why I put ranges in.

In your first post in a thread, there is the option (under where you type the message) to 'Add a Photo' and you click on that and choose wherever it is stored on your computer.

From your figures, your T4 is 6% through the range, your T3 is 26% through the range. That shows your conversion is pretty good.

I noticed in your previous post you say you have gut issues and possible IBS

Have you considered gluten intolerance or even coeliac. Blood tests for coeliac are notoriously unreliable, endoscopy is only real way, even then it's not 100%. No current NHS tests for gluten intolerance. Best is to just try it ....does need to be very strict 100% gluten free to be affective.

Have you had tests for vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12. These could be low, especially with gut issues. Low vitamins affects/prevents thyroid hormones working. Post vitamin results including ranges so members can advise

What about thyroid antibodies, have these been tested?
