I just got blood results back from last Wednesday 7th April. Currently I’m on 100mcg T4 and 5mcg T3.
TSH: 0.74 range 0.2-4.5
FT3: 5.2 range 2.5-5.6
FT4: 15 range 9-21
I’ve been feeling wiped out a lot and was wondering if my dose wasn’t helping me. This dose increase was made from 75mcg T4 and 5mcg T3 to the dose above when I last saw my Endo January time.
Looking at these results, do they look good? Or is there room to change the dose?
Thanks for your advice ☺️

Hi, thanks for your reply 😊 I’ve been on this small dose of T3 for nearly a year but my iron and b12 have always been low. I had loading injections and due my next b12 injection 8 weeks later so roughly 6th May.
I was taking a b complex but maybe I need a better one.
My iron and ferritin were tested last week and they are low, they are always low despite iron supplements, I need to speak to the Gp about this as I may have an iron absorption issue but I’ve also been on the depo injection for bad periods and bled irregularly for some 4 months now which would not have helped my iron levels.
Ferritin was 24 and Iron was 16. My iron despite ferrous fumarate daily never seems to go much higher than that.
Vitamin d was 90 last test I think that was normal and on supplements for that for awhile.
Would the higher T4 dose perhaps work better? I know it’s such a low dose of T3. I’ve advised my doctor that my iron levels aren’t good and it needs looked into but he always says they are low but in range and doesn’t seem to care, typical. I could maybe try up the iron tablets however this upsets my stomach the higher the dose I go.
I am strictly lactose dairy and gluten free ☺️ Thanks for your advice
Thanks for your help, if I cut T3 my Endo is unlikely to keep seeing me regularly she may discharge me. She said whilst I’m on T3 I will be seen by her.
Is an increase of T4 or T3 more beneficial in my case? I thought the results looked good but I am still tired a lot so it’s hard to know 🤔
I have read lots in here that FT3 levels is what best determines if your over or under medicated and your FT3 is just about at the top of range and maybe this is why your feeling wiped?
This is something else we see here alot that its best we have our levels at the top of the ranges in order to feel our best....I honestly don't know. I personally go by how I feel anymore as I could not get my labs to the top of the range and sadly being over medicated and under medicated can produce same types of symptoms.
