As far as any doctor is concerned your vitamin and mineral results are OK.

In reality you should get your vitamin D level over 75nmol/L preferably at 100nmol/L, your vitamin B12 level over 500ng/L and your folate level to about 13.

For vitamin D get yourself out in the sun with as a minimum bare arms but preferably showing as much flesh as possible for 20 minutes daily without burning or tanning between 11-3. If you tan easily then you are going to have to supplement but try that first as going out in the sun not only give makes your body make vitamin D but improves people's mood.

For B12 take a B12 lozenge daily and for folate take a vitamin B complex supplement daily. Brands often taken on this forum are solgar and jarrows.

I'm not sure what thyroid hormones you are on as it isn't clear whether you stopped or not from previous posts.

Oh yes they wanted me to stop ?? I compromised with reduction to 100mcg and within a week I could hardly move. They wanted me to wait 6 weeks for blood test I held on for four weeks ... t3 is now under range and t4 10 but surprise surprise my TSH is still suppressed 😳

Unfortunately I don't understand cortisol levels especially without a range.

Have your albumin levels always been below range every time it's been tested? I presume your doctor has checkout your blood pressure and pulse?

Apparently cortisol is low and he's ordered another test. I haven't a clue what albumin is? I have had a little rant about my messed up thyroid levels on my cholesterol post. Thanks for you help x

It is a liver protein which acts as a marker to indicate if something is wrong. However it doesn't indicate what specifically is wrong so you need to look at everything. In your case your kidney, other liver and full blood count are fine. Your thyroid isn't and your cortisol isn't.

Not what you're looking for?
