Have you been on 50 mcg since 2012? That's outrageous! You should have been tested six weeks after you started it, and had an increase of 25 mcg. You are very under-medicated now. You must feel dreadful. Didn't your doctor say anything about increasing your dose?

thank you I have been taking the 50mcg since November last year. endo didn't like suppressed tsh on the 100mcglevo and 10mcg t3 dose and asked me to reduce. I do currently have symptoms. endo has not told me about increasing my dose

Well, then, you need to change your endo, because your FT3 is under-range! And, it's low T3 that causes symptoms, nothing to do with the TSH. The TSH is irrelevant once you are on thyroid hormone replacement, it doesn't matter how low it goes, and even if the stupid man doesn't know that, he should know that an under-range FT3 is a bad thing to have.

Hi April 06 how are you feeling? From them results I would think pretty bad. T4/t3 are both very low, they need to be in top quarter of range and Tsh needs to be around 1.00 for most of us hypos to feel well. I would go back to gp and ask for increase in levo if I were you.

what should I do about results please?

Carve them into a piece of wood and beat your doctor around the head with it? :-o

As greygoose says, you're horribly undermedicated. When are you next due to see the endo? It might be worth ringing the endo's secretary and asking if the endo could review the results and write to your GP to sanction a raise in dose.

thanks my endo is currently out of the office for the next 10 months. I asked my gp to be referred to another endo but he said he will get one of the practice secretaries to ring the endo. he said this nearly a week ago and I haven't heard anything since
