Why not give the link here? It would be easier for people, rather than having to go to your site. When people are on their phone, it's not easy to copy and paste the address, etc. :)

Sorry Greygoose I am new to all this technology but will try to work out how to do that

Well, I've just been on your site (and it's uk, not UK, by the way :) ) and I can find no mention of a petition. Can you tell me where it is, and I'll add it?

Sorry Greygoose I know it is uk but I did the post on my phone and the predicted text altered it as I said I am not very good at all this but felt very brave this morning and tried to do the post the petition is on the site but it needs altering as it is not very clear sorry will get that sorted

Hi Greygoose if you go on Change .org and the link is Reinstate T3 (Liothyronine) as a prescription drug on the NHS if this does not work I will get it altered so it is easier to access

Hello moyramm, I read mention of your petition on another thyroid forum. I'll be glad to have a look and sign, since I take liothyronine as my sole thyroid replacement, though I have to source it myself. Btw, I think we've 'spoken' before on the forum - I live in the Durham Dales, not far from the area you cover.

I've found the petition link to Change.org. I'm afraid I don't feel able to sign it with the current wording. The paragraph below is problematic, I feel:

"Many patients affected by this ruling simply cannot afford this cost and the only other option is to buy T3 from abroad via the internet. However, this is not a safe option as there are many bogus companies out there and with something as important as health you should not have to take chances."

I'm very sorry.

Hi Hillwoman I take on board your comments and I know there are some good companies out there but many older patients are not internet savvy and what we are trying to get across is the ridiculous situation patients have been put into

Well, that's fair enough, but perhaps that paragraph could be reworded slightly, to attract more support from others on T3 monotherapy? I'm not sure how easy it is to do that on the Change site.

Moyra, I've now signed the petition. I still have reservations, but I'm concerned by the low level of support so far.

Hi Hillwoman Thank you for signing I can not reword the petition unfortunately but I will be putting an up-date on shortly and also more clarifying the issues that have been raised about this petition. The petition was suggested so we are trying it to see what the response is and if it does not work we will have to get our thinking caps on to see what else we can do. Take care Moyra

Awareness is the big issue, thank you for bringing t3 into discussion again, a lot of thyroid patients don't even know t3 is a prescription option and just exist , and I mean just exist, on levothyroxine. Thank you and here is hoping that 2017 brings some real and life changing discussion on thyroidism within the NHS

That would be a brilliant idea really fed up 123 but not everyone will want to do this the same way as not everyone will want to sign the petition

I agree we have already wrote several letters to various people but a petition was suggested so we are going to see what response we get if it does not work we will look at other options
