Aisha_zk,
I'm not sure you'll get help here as we primarily advise on thyroid and adrenal problems. It sounds as though your son had jaundice. His ferritin may be high due to the blood transfusion or due to his body moving iron into ferritin as a protection to prevent bacteria or virus 'feeding' on iron in the blood stream.
I am sorry I am unable to help but know how worried you must be. I hope you have taken him to hospital (children's hospital would be preferable) as I think he needs a paediatrician to look after him as it sounds as if he might be jaundiced which is due to an infection, I believe.
Hi,
I'm not sure how I can help but jaundice (yellow skin) is normally linked to a problem with the liver but not necessarily life threatening. My daughter was born jaundiced and she needed to go under a special heat/light lamp for a few days prior to being discharged from the maternity hospital.
Good luck.
