I forgot to ask what it means when Thyroglob Ab. is over the range. I read on-line its a tumor marker , dont want to think all kinds of bad thoughts , but if anybody has any information please share. Hopefully my doctor calls this week. I received my results online , so I can see them before she calls me.

It can indeed be a marker for cancer. But, more often, it 'just' means you've got Hashimoto's thyroiditis - autoimmune thyroiditis. Did they also test the TPOab? My TgAB was very high, but I also had slightly raised TPOab.

Are you familier with Hashi's? Most doctors aren't! What it means is that the fault lies with your immune system, rather than the thyroid gland itself. The immune system slowly destroys the thyroid, mistaking it for the enemy, until you are completely hypo. But, starting thyroid hormone replacement early on in the disease, can slow the progress.

Your TSH is showing that your thyroid is already struggling, so your doctor should put you on levo straight away, rather than waiting until it reaches 10, as they usually do. You could also try going 100% gluten-free, and taking selenium, to decrease the antibodies.

Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) Ab (2ng/ml) the reference rage was 0.0-8.9. So I believe that was in range.

My mom and grandmother have Hypo, but my uncle had Hashimotos now he has Hypo also.

Yes, with Hashi's, you do become hypo at some point or other. With a TSH over 3, you are just about there.
