Does anybody feel better for changing from Nature-Throid to WP Thyroid? I am sensitive to fillers and thought I would try a small size of the 1 grain WP to see how I get on

Changing from Nature-Throid to WP Thyroid? (This is my first post)
I cannot answer your question but both are hypoallergenic and made by the same company. WP contains two ingredients:-
I'm on WP Thyroid, and I just saw a post that WP thyroid seemed different than before, with some pills being 'darker'. I get three months' refill at a time, so have not come across this new batch yet.
origami,
I have taken WP Thyroid since july and tolerate it well but this is the first NDT I have taken.
JMay I have noticed my pills go darker when I take them out of the bottle ....for instance, I keep a couple in my handbag as multi dose and am always afraid of being caught out without my pm dose.
I have not noticed any decrease in strength or quality.
Hi origami
I took Naturethroid for some 5 or 6 years, when I became frustrated at still having hypo symptoms. After research, I learned about WPThyroid and have been taking this NDT for some 7 years or so.
My symptoms are much improved on the WPThyroid. When on the Naturethroid, it felt as though the thyroid med wasn't quite working fully as it should. I can feel the WPThyroid working within 10 minutes of taking it sublingually.
The WPThyroid has no fillers that interfere with the update of the USP Thyroid I understand, while IIRC Naturethroid has something in it that some hypos seem to be sensitive to.
When switching, I just kept to my same dose [back then it was about one grain 3 x a day].
Good luck and hope you notice a good improvement in symptoms.

I have just started a new jar of Nature-Throid so will persevere with it and try WP next time. I was diagnosed in 2004 and couldn't tolerate levothyroxine at all - it gave me crippling backache and acid indigestion. I discovered Armour and took that at first - when the formula changed I tried Erfra which didn't work for me - I got onto Nature-Throid which I have taken for a few years. I have acid reflux which has been getting worse and worse so I am going to try to take the Nature-Throid sublingually. STTM suggests crushing the tablet - I only take a one grain tablet a day - swilling the mouth with warm water, and taking the crushed NDT under the tongue - it suggests taking a sublingual B12 lozenge at the same time to help it absorb. I am hoping this will help with upset stomach. If no better will buy some WP.
This is helped me tremendously. I am going to try the WPthroid as I am on naturethroid too and I don't feel I am fully there either. I tho the NT had something in it too as it never allows me to fully get 100%. I was taking ERFA and my doc switched me as I had trouble getting the ERFA. I loved being in the ERFA. Thank you again for this info!!!! Debber
